    When I was a little girl, my great-grandmother taught me a simple philosophy of life: “When you do something good, good things will happen to you in return.”

    Once I believed this strongly before graduating from university and entering the professional world.

  • Press-on Nails

    I love getting my nails done. It’s not about showing off or pleasing others, but about making myself feel great.

    However, I don’t like to do all my nails. My preferred choice is getting only the two index fingers done. As you can imagine, I wasn’t the most popular customer at the nail salon.

  • A Branch of Spring

    I brought a branch of a peach tree home from the hiking trail two weeks ago.

    The farmer pruned it from a tree and tossed it on the ridge. I guess he was trying to help the tree maintain more energy for the flowers that would grow into peaches.

    Anyway, the peach branch is growing some leaves and has a bud this morning.

    I’m so happy that there’s a branch of spring at my apartment now.

  • A Myth or Something

    There’s a saying that you should avoid saying you’re not busy in the working world. By the way, how can I express this in English? A myth? A superstition?

    Anyway, it might be true.

    Last week, I told you guys that I was not as busy as last year. This week, however, a new project has taken up almost all my free time. As of now, I have completed the first phase of preparation and can finally take a break.

    If everything goes as expected, I should be able to continue helping people and being helped here every day. I’ll try my best, even if this new project took more time than I expected. (更多…)
