English Entries in Mid-October

I Love Autumn
10.12

Finally, autumn has arrived in Shanghai. And my favorite flower in Autumn, osmanthus, has been blooming.

I can smell it when I open my window in the morning, and when I walk on the road.

I love the sweet and joyful fragrance of osmanthus—so much so that I often buy perfumes claiming its wonderful fragrance. But to my disappointment, they weren’t, though I really thought they were at first.

Anyway, I really enjoy autumn days.

Difficulties
10.14

Things have changed in my industry.

I’ve been working in China’s domestic e-commerce industry for over 16 years. Recently, I have gone through some difficulties in this industry and our team has argued a lot over the future.

But I think there are pros and cons to this situation.

It’s time for me to practice, maybe I can talk about it in detail tomorrow.

Something Fun
10.16

I’m a little tired now, so want to talk about something easy.

I went hiking around West Lake last Saturday, which was a famous beautiful lake in China.

Many hills and tea plantations surrounded the lake, but the one that caught my eye was a small village known for its osmanthus trees.

You can see the scenery along the trail in this video.

If you are in eastern China right now, I highly recommend this hiking trail. The fragrance under osmanthus trees in tea plantations is delectable.

  • “I went on a hike” or “I went hiking” or “I hiked”
  • “Stunning” is more appropriate for something visually striking.

    Badminton
    10.17

I signed up for a badminton game, which will be held tonight.

I’m a little excited and anxious because I haven’t played badminton for nearly three years.

I began playing this game regularly after learning that it is beneficial for my neck health. And indeed, it helped me a lot.
